I noticed that the content here was duplicated on other pages so I merged it to sodomy law to avoid a content fork. The phrase "unnatural act" is a synonym for sodomy in law (see the sodomy law article), so I thought the merge was fairly straightforward. User:MPS, you apparently disagree. Could you spell out your reasoning here? Cheers, ntennis01:30, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
To my knowledge, Sodomy does not include incest... or really bestiality. My understanding of the definition of sodomy is that it is oral and anal (not vaginal) sex. My understanding of the definition of unnatural act is that it includes a wide range of so-called "deviant" sexual behaviors. While someone might file sodomy under a list of unnatural acts, I think there would be other "unnatural acts" that would not be considered sodomy, like necrophilia. It is not for Wikipedia to judge what is unnatural or not, but at the same time, we would be more accurate in merging sodomy to the "unnnatural acts" article than the other way around since the former is a subset of the latter.
