- I will do this review.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 02:35, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
- The toolbox to the right shows that this article has over 30 deadlinks.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 18:05, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- dablinks tool not working.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 18:05, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- A LEAD is suppose to have at most 4 paragraphs. Please restructure.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 18:11, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- The term "Holy Cross priests" seems to beg for a link. I don't know what it means.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 03:34, 24 September 2014 (UTC)
- Congregation of Holy Cross per chance?--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:52, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
- The LEAD can be as large as about 3000 characters, I am surprised this one is less than 2000 characters (1961). I suggest reviewing the article and including a summary of each section here. Omitting mention of the phrase Golden Dome is glaring.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 13:03, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- I might also mention the name of the famous fight song (although I have not read the rest of the article to see if it is discussed as it should be). Even I as a Michigan fan would recognize it.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 13:06, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- Foundations
- What is a very rev. (as mentioned in the WP:CAPTION)?--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:52, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
- Early history
- Please link terms in the main navbox as they are encountered in the text. I.e., when you first mention the Law school, link Notre Dame Law School.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:52, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
- Link Harvard Law School.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:52, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hesburgh Era
- 1952–1987
- Fix the [citation needed] tag.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:55, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
- Recent History
- I am uncomfortable with the term "most recent" when referring to anything from the 1987–2005 period. Even if true now, it will obsolesce.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 12:17, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
- per WP:LASTNAME, only Malloy's last name should appear in the final paragraph of the section. His nickname should be incorporated into the first paragraph in which he is introduced.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 12:17, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
- Campus
- Does "north of South Bend" mean "immediately north of South Bend"?--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 13:03, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- "includes 143 buildings" should be preceded by {{asof|lc=y}}.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 13:03, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- Buildings and Architecture
- Please link notable buildings (like Main Administration Building (University of Notre Dame)) upon their first mention.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 13:18, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- " LaFortune employs 35 part-time student staff and 29 full-time non-student staff and has an annual budget of $1.2 million" needs As of 2008[update].--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 13:18, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- "was begun on March 8, 2007" seems obsolete.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 13:18, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- "recently been completed" is sourced to a 2007 source.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 13:18, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- Stadiums and arenas should be a separate paragraph.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 13:18, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- Environmental sustainability
- Does the campus have any green rooftops?--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:05, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
- Organization and administration
- "The Trustees select the president from the United States Province of the Congregation of Holy Cross." Why is the president chosen from this Province? What is this Province?--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:10, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
- I don't believe the see also belongs here. This is not a section about the president. He is just a part of the section and the article is appropriately linked in this section otherwise.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:10, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
- Academics
- This section starts with "As of fall 2006". This is no good, now. Please update.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:21, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
- Also use the {{asof}} template here and wherever else it is appropriate.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:21, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
- Colleges
- What is the asof date for this section? The sources seem to have been retrieved in 2007.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:35, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
- The last paragraph in this subsection seems introductory either for this subsection or section. I feel like before reading about the 5 colleges, I should have known that the students are all in one of them after their first year.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:35, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
- Graduate and professional schools
- "before a formal graduate school education was developed with a thesis not required to receive the degrees" should be rephrased. I think you mean before graduate school curriculum was developed or before modern graduate degree requirements were established. "a thesis not required to receive the degrees" should be presented in a separate sentence (with the word was added).--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 20:47, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- Please address the [citation needed] tag.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 20:47, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- Libraries
- "the third building to house the main collection of books" begs for an explanation on the first and second.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 21:26, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- Whereas I have heard of Touchdown Jesus but not heard of First Down Moses, I am requesting a citation.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 21:26, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- "largest university library in the world upon its completion" do you mean in 1963?--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 21:26, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- Rankings
- Merge or expand stubby one-line paragraph.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 21:39, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- Are you cherry picking high rankings. Please add rankings for as many programs as you can find. Are there engineering school rankings?--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 21:39, 4 October 2014 (UTC)
- Science

- Endowment
- Please add some inflation adjustments for 2014 dollars via the appropriate templates.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 23:01, 6 October 2014 (UTC)
- Residence halls
- "At the end of the intramural season, the championship game is played on the field in Notre Dame Stadium." needs a citation.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:05, 11 October 2014 (UTC)

- Why doesn't WVFI have a link?--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:22, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
- I find it hard to believe that there is no student newspaper with an article.--;AthleticsTonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:22, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
- Community development
- The relevance of this section is not made clear. What is notable about Eddy Street Commons?--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 05:24, 11 October 2014 (UTC)
- Athletics
- "The Fighting Irish previously competed in the Horizon League from 1982-83 to 1985-86, and again from 1987-88 to 1994-95, and then in the Big East Conference through 2012–13." needs proper citation as does the following sentence.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:02, 17 October 2014 (UTC)

- Much of the paragraph is sourced to a WP:SPS.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:02, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- Football
- Please find a WP:RS for " It was in 1928 that famed coach Knute Rockne used his final conversation with the dying Gipp to inspire the Notre Dame team to beat the Army team and "win one for the Gipper."--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 04:10, 17 October 2014 (UTC)

- The content seems to be from 2007. Please update.

- Music
- Merge or expand stubby paragraphs.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 16:57, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- There is a lot of redundancy regarding the band and the fight song with the Athletics section above.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 16:57, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- The final paragraph needs WP:ICs from WP:RSs.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 16:57, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- Alumni
- This seems to be a hodge podge of names. It is not intuitive to me who is included here and who is in the separate list articles mentioned at the top of the section.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 17:07, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- Is there any standard for who should be included in this list? There are a couple things that stand out to me. First, that Charlie Weis is included in the famous alumni coaches but Frank Leahy is left out. I guess Charlie's failures as a coach do not mean that he is not famous, but Leahy should also be there. Secondly, why is Megan Duffy included? I had never heard of her and had to look her up. Sounds like she never made it in the WNBA and has been an assistant coach in a couple places? If we're going to list women's basketball players, shouldn't it be Ruth Riley or Skylar Diggins? I'll wait a while for anyone else to respond before I make changes, but if nobody says anything I will add Leahy and remove Duffy. Tonyvolo (talk) 17:02, 30 December 2015 (UTC)Tonyvolo

In general, this article has a long way to go. It will take a lot of research to update it and there are many other issues with the current state of the article. Considering its current state and lingering issues related to the GA1, I don't see it as likely that these concerns will be addressed within one week. I am failing this article.--TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 17:39, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
