[edit]I have been collecting newspaper articles to flesh out the 1970s-2010s era, and I think I can add some good coverage. But I am curious about the late 1800s to early 1900s, with such a raft of notable speakers and I guess a national methodist convention or two, there seems like some significant notability there. Just not exactly sure where to start with newspaper coverage. Like, the Frederick Douglass assertion is unsourced, but there must be some contemporary journalism from the time that supports that.
