Because this describes a rather large youth group and this article only contains a small amount of information about the group, I'm recommending it for expansion, which I'm going to work on. I'd like to add a lot of content, split into seconds, add a table of contents, and work on improving the article in general. Please help! Mike 16:56, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to start work on the following sections, if no one objects: About, History, Structure, Activities, and Status. These will contain the existing sections, and offer more flexibility for expansion. Mike 04:49, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest we add (intact) the section from Sea Cadets into here verbatim to assist your rewrite, Mike. I don;t see how anyone can object to better information :) If I get the chance before oyu' I'll move it accross into a logical place for you to manipulate. Otherwise be bold Fiddle Faddle 09:42, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have done the initial merge from the Sea Cadets page. It does need tidying still Fiddle Faddle 11:00, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to remove the comment about this page being monitored by the USNSCC's Internet Development Group. They have every right to correct factual errors, but this comment gives the impression of official control of this page, and they've gone as far as removing comments about a drop in enrollment in the organization. The user (presumably from the USNSCC's Internet Development Group) who added the monitoring line also made a large number of random, sandbox-like edits to the page, including after some were reverted by a Wikipedia moderator with encouragement to visit the Wikipedia help before continuing. The bottom line is, the user has contributed nothing to the page except add a monitored by line that I believe is inconsistent with Wikipedia's policies, and remove some slightly negative (but unbiased) comments about the group. 67.182.231.23 04:16, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NSCC Officers Section

[edit]

I figure the section on USNSCC officers needs expansion. I'll try to expand it when I get the time, unless someone beats me to it. Just wanted to make apparent that the NSCC Officer corps aren't necessarily military. --Daishi808 23:57, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:ISCA logo.gif

[edit]

Image:ISCA logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

looking for former members

[edit]

Good Afternoon,

My name is John Wood and I am a former Sea Cadet member. I was a member of this organization during the early 80's. The naval base I was attached to was NAS Norfolk. During my time in I met a lot of nice people and would like to reconnect with some of these people. If anyone reading this was in the Corps during this time frame please get in contact with me. my email is eagleoffreedom@gmail/com
I made a few friends from Somerset New Jersey and hope they read this.
Thank you,
John Wood —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.30.100.235 (talk) 17:57, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
