Starting to gather information

[edit]

Looking at the article on Katrina reminded me of the United Radio Broadcasters of New Orleans which I followed for some days right after the hurricane struck. I'll be gathering and posting what information I can find to add to this page. Some of the things I'd like to collect:

  • list of all the stations participating, when they started and when the stopped.

WYOK 104.1 Atmore, Alabama, covering Mobile, Pensacola, and Fort Walton, owned by Cumulus. WDIZ 590 Panama City, Florida. This station stayed with the simulcast for a very long time. It is owned by Clear Channel. Neither of these stations covered the affected area, but they did cover the areas where people had evacuated to.

  • List of all the on-air personalities, specifying which station employed them.
  • Notable events handled by URBNO; for instance:
Tophour.com has an audio clip of a URBNO station ID. 121a0012 (talk) 05:57, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
