Missouri?
[edit]No offense, but since the division is moving to Orlando this year, why would this fall under the scope of that WikiProject? Obviously A-B itself would be part of that, and a very important one. Any clarification would be welcome. Thanks. --McDoobAU93 (talk) 20:24, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
The company no longer has offices or properties in Missouri. Done Kevin Lewitzke (talk) 16:00, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
Company purchase
[edit]As everyone appears to be aware, InBev is planning on purchasing Anheuser-Busch, creating (so the papers say) Anheuser-Busch-InBev. As of today, this is not a done deal. Yes it's been announced, but it still has to pass (a) shareholder vote and (b) governmental muster. Considering this is an election year, expect Congress to get *very* involved. Even without that, the parties expect this to take a few months to resolve. Until that time, Anheuser-Busch is still a separate, standalone company, and Busch Entertainment is a subsidiary of same. --McDoobAU93 (talk) 21:02, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
InBev merger completed
[edit]As of Tuesday, November 18, 2008, Anheuser-Busch's merger with InBev is complete [1]. Busch Entertainment is undoubtedly in limbo. Wslupecki (talk)
- Is it? So far everyone has said what they think will happen to Busch Entertainment, not what will happen to Busch Entertainment. Considering the credit markets, it's highly unlikely that anyone could get the cash to buy BEC, or that ABI would get the best price for the properties. What is known is that BEC is profitable, and no company with its eye on the bottom line will get rid of a profitable enterprise.
- Again, until such time as something definitive and verifiable happens, the article should mention that BEC is a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBev, which it is. Details of the acquisition of A-B belong in A-B's article, not here.
Free beer benefit
[edit]An editor continues to add in a passage about how employees of BEC lost the benefit of two free cases of beer per month after the merger with InBev. While ultimately true (they did), it misses two key points. First, the benefit was extended to all Anheuser-Busch employees, not just those of Busch Entertainment. Second, the benefit was ended by Anheuser-Busch InBev, not by Busch Entertainment. So, any discussion of this perk belongs in the article for Anheuser-Busch InBev, not the article for Busch Entertainment Corporation, which at the time (and currently, still is) was a subsidiary of A-B. --McDoobAU93 (talk) 00:24, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- OK, half credit. This source indicates that BEC did indeed end the benefit for the employees. At the same time, this source shows that the benefit was for all employees of Anheuser-Busch, not just those at BEC, and that (at the time of the article's publication) they still were receiving the benefit. To that end, I'm willing to admit I'm partially wrong, and will revise the article to appropriately relate back to Anheuser-Busch. --McDoobAU93 (talk) 00:35, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Page move
[edit]In order to handle this more properly, we need to formally discuss the plans to move the page to its proper new name, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. I support the move, as the name change is official and cited by a reliable source. Point is moot, page has been moved and histories have been merged. --McDoobAU93 (talk) 01:21, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
New template
[edit]I took the liberty of generating a template for use by the parks. It is available to be edited, and I'm posting it here first so that people can comment and make changes prior to its being added to the various park articles. --McDoobAU93 (talk) 01:22, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

World of Discovery
[edit]Spshu; Ah got it, although would it then possible to merge into the section related to the History or Former properties? It seems kind of clunky as a standalone section. Adog104 Talk to me 20:19, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
