Rainbow Health partnership
This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello again! Thanks to User:Spintendo for helping above. I'd like to submit another request for the Foundations section, specifically the paragraph for the United Health Foundation (UHF):
- In 2023, UHF partnered with Rainbow Health to provide mental health, substance abuse, and other services to youth and young adults within the LGBT community.[1][2][3] The grant was the largest received by Rainbow Health to date.[4]

I'll also invite User:Xan747 to review this suggestion, given their review of a previous UHF request above. Feel free to make text adjustments or preferred sources.

- I've previously declined this story as being based on press releases and not on spontaneous reporting by independent reliable sources.
- Two additional sources have been provided with this request. One is to Lavender written by the same author, whom I declined earlier. The second reference is to KMSP-TV whose first sentence states
"The United Health Foundation has announced a three-year grant partnership"
making this information based on a press release.

No out-of-pocket costs
This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Thanks to Spintendo for reviewing the above request. There seems to be little appetite for adding details about the company's foundations and philanthropic efforts, so I'll move on to a different area. I see there's no mention of UnitedHealth Group eliminating out-of-pocket costs on several prescription drugs.
I suggest adding the following update to the article, perhaps in the History section, per reporting by Reuters and Stat:
- In 2022, UnitedHealth Group said there would be no out-of-pocket costs for albuterol, epinephrine, glucagon, insulin, and naloxone, for fully insured members, starting in 2023.[1][2][3]

The company also said starting from 2023, there would be no copay or out-of-pocket costs for several critical drugs, including insulin for its fully insured members.

Source and text edits welcome, as always. Thank you! Barbara at UHG (talk) 20:42, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- The third reference provided offered this tidbit of information:
"Next year, UnitedHealthcare will offer employer health plans that have no copays or out-of-pocket costs for five vital drugs — insulin, epinephrine, glucagon, naloxone, and albuterol — but those discounts will only be a guaranteed for less than a quarter of UnitedHealthcare’s membership for now. Starting in 2023, fully insured employers — companies that offload all of the risk of covering workers’ medical and drug expenses to insurers — can choose UnitedHealthcare’s new plans that make those five drugs free for patients."
I would be willing to add this information to the article only if it includes the caveat stated above (that it will only be a guaranteed for less than a quarter of UnitedHealthcare’s membership). Please advise. Regards, Spintendo 00:13, 13 September 2023 (UTC)

@Spintendo: I welcome your proposed caveat if you feel the details are necessary. The information is accurate, so thank you for updating the article appropriately. Barbara at UHG (talk) 17:27, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- I'm sorry if you misunderstood. I can make suggestions, but you need to make the proposals. Regards, Spintendo 21:14, 13 September 2023 (UTC)

@Spintendo: Here is my proposed addition to the History section with the caveat you requested:
