Lewin Group and Coverups

[edit]

206.65.37.136 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) is an IP who traces back to a domain called "Lewin-VHI" over the last few days they have been making edits that relate directly the the current Lewin Group controversy, if you don't know what that is basically the GOP is citing the Lewin group as an independent health care policy analysis outfit when the Lewin group is owned by UHC one of the countries biggest health insurance companies.

That is all background and outside the scope of wikipedia, what we need to do is make sure the Lewin Group doesn't whitewash their wikipedia page or related wikipedia pages, see the edits [1], the damning edit [2], and another cover up [3]. We can't stand for that sort of conflict of interest whitewashing here on wikipedia, can we get some blocks and page protections then whatever other actions need to be taken? • The edits in question are suspicious, but Tharshammer's tone is strangely paranoid. What, afterall, is there to whitewash? Lewin clearly discloses its connection to UnitedHealth Group on its web site... visit the "about us" section. Near as I can tell, Lewin never attempted to "white wash" anything... which of course does leave one to wonder why the heck user, whose ISP links back to Lewin, is acting so stupidly... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fiskerj (talkcontribs) 02:43, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

LEtters to Employees and Insured

[edit]

Talkingpoints Memo has uncovered that UHG sent letters to employees and some of their policyholders asking them to go to their Healthcare reform hotline. The hotline in turn directs them to go to Tea Parties (i.e., and not the ones held by grandma) sponsored by the right-wing group, Army of God. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.49.214.3 (talk) 14:02, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Biased

[edit]

Minor point, I removed unnecessary and inaccurate adjectival phrase "progressive think-tank" before The Commonwealth Fund. TCF is a private, nonprofit Foundation and is prohibited from engaging in political advocacy or lobbying. Agree with recommendation to remove the Bias tag for now.
