Article needs significant work
[edit]This group had been significant for many years, though in recent years it has evolved into the small, some would say, fringe, group that it is now.
Yet, the first three, scant, paragraphs of the article deal with the historical group, while the bulk of the article is about some of the sensationalist stuff they've done in its current incarnation. I got to this page from the Eliezer Silver article who is strongly identified with this group. But one gets a very wrong impression about Rabbi Silver by reading the Augath Harabonim article. --Jms2000 (talk) 19:42, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
- Since Rabbi Silver's name is only mentioned once, in a sentence that says:
- "Among the well-known leaders from the organization's past are Rabbis Eliezer Silver and Moshe Feinstein."
- it's hard to see how this gives "a very wrong impression."
- Rabbi Silver left this world in 1968, so any "sensationalist stuff" (per above) would not have anything to do with his accomplishments.
- Since Rabbi Silver's name is only mentioned once, in a sentence that says:
- Moreover, as the (Rabbi) Eliezer Silver article points out, he was not afraid to speak out. Dad7 (talk) 07:37, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
