Aircraft used
[edit]The accident report on the crash of UTA 141 [a leased Boeing 727-223] says
Before 2003, UTA operated two low-capacity airplanes, an Antonov 24 [50 passengers?] registered in Sierra Leone (9L-LBQ) and a Let 410 (3X-GDE) [air ambulance version?]. The Antonov was used for public transport on regional routes in Wets[sic] Africa (Freetown, Banjul,
Abidjan etc.), the Let 410 for flights for mining companies and as an air
ambulance. These two airplanes belong to an individual who is also technical director of UTA.
