3rd Underworld Novel isn't a fanfiction

Someone put that the 3rd Underworld novel is a fanfiction- it isn't since it's licensed by the powers that control the franchise & was written by demand of the franchise holders. Therefore it's not a fanfiction. It'd only be considered a fanfiction if it started off as something a fan wrote in their spare time & was then picked up by the franchise holders. Even then it'd be edited & revamped so heavily that it would at best be considered to be adapted from a fanfiction. Since there's no way to determine that, I'm removing the fanfiction part from the sentence. Tokyogirl79 (talk) 11:01, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Tokyogirl79

You're thinking of the wrong novel. I'm not sure who said it (may have been me), but regardless they were most likely talking about Blood Enemy, a fan fiction written by Greg Cox that has no bearing whatsoever on the series. AlessaGillespie (talk) 04:34, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Characters

Shouldn't there be one page that encompasses all Underworld characters (similar to the Characters & Organizations page for F.E.A.R.) instead of a whole bunch of different pages? AlessaGillespie (talk) 07:23, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

I think Underworld can make a fine article with a list of characters. A Nobody and I have made already a small work on that. I think we have to proceed with character profiles with short plot summaries and focusing in real world material as character conception, action figures, interviews, etc. There is plenty of material already in the web for that. A Nobody have done a good job so far. -- Magioladitis (talk) 18:47, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

Per this discussion, I've removed the merge tags. Jafeluv (talk) 10:19, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Just a question, but why do so many of the character biographies mention that the character is a "fictional character." It's a series of films about vampires and werewolves. Doesn't it go without saying that they are all fictional? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.175.84.238 (talk) 17:11, 23 October 2011 (UTC)

It seems the texts were simply copied from a set of separate articles about each character, in which it made sense to point out that they're fictional. Each one also links to the various films, to "Lycans", etc. Needs some cleaning up. - Alltat (talk) 22:12, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

Headline

Template:Underworld Movies

I did a complete restructure of the Underworld template. I thought it needed to be more detailed. Evolutionselene 05:47, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Template: Len Wiseman

I created a film template for director Len Wiseman and included it on this article as well as the articles for the first and second Underworld films. Evolutionselene 15:28, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Template:Underworld character

I have created a new template for Underworld characters. Anyway I hope you like.Evolutionselene 11:46, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

Major correction: director of the third film

The first sentence of the article used to read 'Underworld [...] films directed by Len Wiseman'. This is not the case, as Rise of the Lycans was directed solely by Patrick Tatopoulos, co-director of Underworld. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.83.30.208 (talk) 20:07, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

New Dawn Cast

Bill Nighy has not been confirmed for New Dawn, same with Michael Sheen. I shortened their rows to only cover the first 3 films. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.76.232.162 (talk) 17:13, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

Markus vs Marcus

At the beginning of Evolution, the opening text crawl spells "Markus" with a "k". However, Evolution's cast list spells it with a "c", and all of thne novelizations, the official website, and the production notes also spell his name with a "c". Given that, the spelling in the text crawl is an obvious goof, and his name was clearly always meant to be written as "Marcus". 166.216.226.83 (talk) 18:55, 23 December 2011 (UTC)

Michael Corvin appearance in Underworld: Awakening

Scott Speedman makes an appearance in the movie. I watched it not too long ago in theatres and he makes a short appearance in the film before the actual movie begins. It's the scene where Selene gets knocked out by some charge they dropped in the water. Before that Scott Speedman's character was on the docks. It's more of a cameo appearance as he has no lines. The scene was used later in the movie as a flashback. Swifty*talkcontribs 14:56, 9 February 2012 (UTC)

Hungarian Warlord?

The article states that Alexander Corvinus was "Hungarian warlord who lived in the early fifth century." How is this possible when there was no Hungary in the Fifth Century, the Magyars entering the Carpathian Basin only after 895? 24.36.13.102 (talk) 04:29, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

Hybrid section

While editing a DAB page I noticed there is no good description of Hybrids in the Underworld series. I found a good source http://underworld.wikia.com/wiki/Hybrids if someone has some time to add to this or one of the other Underworld articles. I will not likely be able to come back to do it myself. § Music Sorter § (talk) 01:18, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

Wikis are not considered reliable sources, as much like Wikipedia itself, anyone can edit them. Doniago (talk) 15:23, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

The link for Danny McBride takes you to the wiki page for a different person, not the man who wrote the Underworld screenplay. Echowolfe (talk) 06:59, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

Fixed, though I've proposed deletion of the correct article as it's a stub with no sources provided (or much information of any kind) and I couldn't find any sources that made mention of him other than as the writer for Underworld. Doniago (talk) 13:24, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
