Unattributed translation
[edit]I have tagged the article with {{Unattributed translation}}, the source is ml:സയ്യിദ്_ഉമ്മർ_ബാഫക്കി (permalink). This needs to be resolved by article starter, refer to the template documentation. In the future, please follow the instructions given in Help:Translation. Sam Sailor 22:32, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
Name
[edit]I can't find a source that says that Syed was his name. This appears to be a conflation with the honorific sayyid, and we don't use that in article titles on English Wikipedia. Secondly, why is ഉമ്മർ transliterated in three different ways: Ummar in the article title, Umar in the infobox, and Ummer in the lead? I'm going to move the article to Ummer Bafaki Tangal per Roland E. Miller.[1] Sam Sailor 04:15, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
