I don't want to be unduly difficult here, but I really think this article needs more information: As it stands, the only major statement about him is that he is one of the first African-American doctors recognised within America. More details are needed to show why he's notable in his own right. At the moment, it's on iffy notability grounds. Shoemaker's Holiday (talk) 08:31, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
