Fair use rationale for Image:Prince - Ultimate.jpg

[edit]

Image:Prince - Ultimate.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:41, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Move?

[edit]

I checked up discogs and I think the tracklist is wrong. I didn't dare to modify the article and so I left a mark here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.232.105.108 (talk) 12:00, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ultimate (Prince album)Ultimate Prince

Oppose: Some reasons why the article shouldn't be moved from Ultimate (Prince album);
  1. allmusic list the title of the album as Ultimate.
  2. discogs list the title of the album as Ultimate (allmusic and discogs are the two most reliable sites for album details IMO).
  3. The record label's website, Warner Bros Records, also lists it as Ultimate. link to album cover
  4. The album cover is unambiguous to me; it clearly has the artist's name (Prince) with the album title below it (Ultimate). I guess it could be viewed as "Prince Ultimate" but I don't see how anyone could read the album cover as "Ultimate Prince".
  5. The CD-Text on the album itself displays as "Ultimate". Not "Ultimate Prince".
If User:MaJic says Bitton believes it's called "Ultimate Prince" then possibly that was a working title, and Warner Bros changed it to Ultimate when it was released.
There does appear to be some confusion over the title (several sites do refer to it as "Ultimate Prince") so I can understand the proposal, but the record label's own data, the actual album sleeve itself, and the CD-Text are conclusive. Markfury3000 (talk) 18:59, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose IAW WP:COMMONNAMES, as outlined above.

The title is just "Ultimate".

[edit]

The word of one guy who worked on the album doesn't outweigh the fact it was released as "Ultimate", not "Ultimate Prince". The cover, sleeve, and CD all say "Ultimate". That's the name you get when you put the CD in your computer. Every website including Spotify and Tidal call it "Ultimate". It's pretty unambiguous.
