Age of US Indoors

This tournament is much older than 1971. It is one of the oldest national championships. This should be made explicitly clear in the article. Tennis expert (talk) 18:07, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This was not just a ladies event

Wow, I was looking at this and it has to be fixed. 1) it needs to be called "US Indoor Championships" since it was known that way since time immemorial, and 2) it was also a mens tournament since 1898. Goodness how can such an error have been made to call it a WTA event only? I have a list of all the mens winners but not the runners-up. I'll have to search around for those.
