Wrong Wickes
[edit]I reverted this page back to the stub of August 28, 2005. The article added after that described USS Wickes (DD-75), even though it was mislabeled as USS Wickes (DD-578). The two articles were identical, except the DD-75 article had the correct title, it was wikified, and it included material after it became HMS Montgomery. Sorry. Feel free to write another article that really is about USS Wickes DD-578, as Wikipedia doesn't have one yet. Art LaPella 00:10, 15 September 2005 (UTC)
Better. Thank you. Art LaPella 23:50, 16 September 2005 (UTC)
Point of View?
[edit]For an encyclopedia entry, this article has an inappropriately jingoistic tone:
- "Inexorably, the mighty American Navy bore down upon the shores of Nippon itself..."
It clearly takes the point of view of the crew of the ship. I would suggest that it be toned down. Dark Formal 21:43, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
