Number of Spadefishes

I reverted an anonymous edit claiming that SSN-668 was the third (not the second) Spadefish. The only supporting citation was the anon's claim in the edit summary to have served aboard one of them. I don't doubt that claim, but I'm afraid it is insufficient — our readers can't look up an IP address's service record, nor could they verify from an individual's service record how many ships bore a given name. If anyone can provide verifiable evidence of a third Spadefish, I would be delighted to prove DANFS wrong. ➥the Epopt 23:37, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
