(moved here from the article) (where is the ship now??)

The ship is still in dry dock in Hawaii. It'll be there a while. Is there any more information about the navy's investigation into the incident and the affect on Captain Carroll's career. I've heard he has lost is commission. But that same source claimed a $1 billion dollar repair job. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.193.12.143 (talk) 05:51, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Grounding or incident?

While initially "Grounding" was okay, I was wondering if perhaps it should be listed as a "subsection" as "incident" instead?--Hourick (talk) 12:05, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

What were the findings in the investigation?Pennsy22 (talk) 04:34, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
"Grounding" is fine. The investigation found it was just that (we even have a main article about it; "2009 USS Port Royal grounding").
That said, Pennsy22, this is a post from almost 10 years ago by a user who hasn't been active since 2015. I don't think you can expect an answer from them. If this satisfies your follow-up question, I would like to archive this page now. Cheers - wolf 14:56, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
Thewolfchild, thanks for the edit, the article left you hanging saying that an investigation was called but never said anything about the outcome.Pennsy22 (talk) 03:41, 12 November 2018 (UTC)
