Ship's Motto

[edit]

According to this Navy press release from November 21, 2006, Ohio's motto is still "Alway's first." Anyone who wants to change the motto, whether in the service or not, should document their claim. Nothing personal. Just the facts. This is an encyclopedia; treat it like one. Thank you. Ddama 01:12, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

@BWRSimulator: Can you clarify that? - wolf 15:35, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Fnlayson: Can you take a look at the edits made yesterday along with the ref noted above? It's a photo from a commissioning book. Just looking for another opinion. Thanks - wolf 15:41, 1 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Wolf: Clarification my login was not working at the time I started the edits, but the system finally let me log in on 31st July 2021. I thought the system would notify me if anyone commented on a post of mine, no it did not so here again I am catching up, please excuse the wiki neophyte. I have images for the entire commissioning book and could upload them my concern is the list of names for the crew members. I will continue to check this Talk page until I figure out how to get the notifications.--BWRSimulator (talk) 06:02, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Update 09/26/2021 by BWRSimulator

[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

Good News, NavSource has hosted a PDF file of the Commissioning Book for the USS Ohio (SSBN-726). I will work on changing footnote 4 to be consistent with the PDF file. The initial problem Page 24 delta with 27/32 (page 27 of 32) are 1) front cover included in PDF count, 2) inside front cover included in PDF count, and 3) Page 18 PDF 21/32 was missing from the original set of jpeg files upon which I based the page count.

I will attempt to fix the other 3 external links to NavSource since the NavSource site has been reorganized.\ BWRSimulator (talk) 17:08, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

And latter this day

[edit]

fixed footnote 4 and added the Commissioning Book as an external web citation. I tried to use the external links tool above but I don't seem to have permission. From the Structure of the Photo Gallery references, I think there used to be three (3) indexes and now they are combined into one. Can anyone give me a goto place to read up on creating Photo Gallery References? TIA! BWRSimulator (talk) 18:38, 26 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
