Christening date

Rwbems added,

"... christened four months later, on 21 June 2008, 220 years to the day of the ratification of the US Constitution by the state of New Hampshire, ..."

And indeed, United States Constitution#Ratification does say that New Hampshire ratified on 21 June 1788. And as the 9th state to do so, put the Constitution into effect. But was the ship's christening date chosen for that reason, or just a coincidence?
