Replaced old blue infobox with newest type and inserted data as necessary. Wikified contents after verifying with DANFS. Added "see also", modified ref, minor edits throughout.

Berthing barge

Transport for military dependents

In 1950 my dad was part of the occupation forces on Okinawa, and dependents were allowed to accompany them. I was born on Okinawa in '50, and traveled back to the US later in 1950 on the Hugh J. Gaffey (as it was named then) with mom and sister. The ship wasn't famous, but it did it's job for many years. 161.97.211.128 (talk) 14:40, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
