Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Sincerely, Guessitsavis (she/they) (Talk) 01:09, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Title

[edit]

The event should just be described as UFC 300 in the article. There is no emphasis on the main event in the poster, just like UFC 100 and UFC 200. 2A02:C7C:DD25:6900:CA0:E991:8953:D25B (talk) 19:12, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The material quotes an opinion, attributed to a notable personality in this combat sport's community, that the accompanying reliable, third-party sources consider significant. Editor Cassiopeia removed the material with the comprehensive edit summary "Opinion". I know it's an opinion, Cassiopeia; that's why the material starts "Color commentator Joe Rogan believed". Normally I would discuss your removal on this Talk page, but "Opinion" is so bare and lazy, that I'm simply going to revert your removal. --62.166.252.25 (talk) 13:28, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

62.166.252.25 Good day. Pls note that not all info is inclusion even they are supported by independent, reliable source. Commentators, mma fighters, coaches, marketing agents, podcasters, fans and etc. always give their take on certain fights which happen every day, weeks, in the comments, podcast, live streams and etc for it is so common and just particular opinions of the speakers, we dont include them in the articles. When a fight is voted to be the "fight of the year by major MMA sites at the end of the year, we record it on the fighters' articles; for UFC Hall of Frame fight, we record it on the fighter's articles; for Fight of the night or Performance of the Night of the particular event, we record them on the event article and the fithers' article, for they are considered significant. Point me to the policy or guideline that says the material I added cannot be in the article. Everything else you write is just your opinion man, and means nothing to me. --62.166.252.25 (talk) 18:27, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
62.166.252.25, You can check more than 600 UFC event at List of UFC events and see any of the event do have record the info as per yours. I am informing your norm and any not significant info even is sourced we dont put in the article as Wikipedia is an enclyopedia. Just like we dont put Joe Rogan stated, Ronda is the great female fighter who can beat half of the men's bantamweight division nor we put Dana White stated there would not be women division in the UFC or we put Robbie Lawler vs. Rory MacDonald was the fight of the night in the event and etc. You can put back the info and I believe other editor will remove it. I come here in good will to inform you how things work here and no malice whatsoever. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia talk 01:26, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
