Main event build-up

[edit]

Should this be on the page? I believe so because it adds value to the page. A big reason why articles were getting deleted was because most pages lacked content.192.249.47.196 (talk) 20:12, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Article is not long enough with out it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paul "The Wall" (talkcontribs) 03:38, 21 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not copy and paste text into the article. Especially when it includes peacock terms. Also, make sure any claims made are actually in the source, unlike this "beaten every contender" crap. Thank you. InedibleHulk (talk) 22:59, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

UFC 151 Cancelled? should this be deleted or?

[edit]

http://www.newsday.com/sports/mixed-martial-arts/dan-henderson-injured-ufc-151-canceled-1.3921672

The current UFC151 & UFC152 pages should have their content merged (keeping the information about the 2 previous cards and the original UFC 151 event's cancellation), with UFC 153 moving to UFC 152, UFC 154 moving to UFC153, UFC 155 moving to UFC 154.Froo (talk) 18:17, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

UFC 152 will be called UFC 151. I say merge, and change all names... — Preceding unsigned comment added by SiMntjMMA (talkcontribs) 18:23, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say keep the page and repurpose for the new one (previously 152). I wouldn't mind keeping the background info about the cancellation in here for context.Ru1dt (talk) 18:43, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Event names remains intact ! UFC 152 = UFC 152 ! No need to make changes ! — Preceding unsigned comment added by SiMntjMMA (talkcontribs) 18:52, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Don't delete, this is actually more notable than most ufc cards now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.112.110.65 (talk) 19:34, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Keep The fallout from this event is pretty huge. This event is actually unprecedented in the UFC and only one other major MMA card has ever been scratched at the last minute like this (Affliction Trilogy). This isn't like the rare card that they've had to reschedule while still a few months away, it's been confirmed that they aren't even changing the numbering (presumably because it will screw up marketing other announced cards), and all the fights are being scattered to other cards. This will be the lone lost event, not a rescheduled one. That alone makes it notable among UFC events. So, keep. Beansy (talk) 20:46, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

We need a temporary lock on this from vandalism

[edit]

I have no idea how to request one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.249.47.196 (talk) 18:31, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Fight Moved To"

[edit]

I've removed it once, but it was re-added. So I'll bring it here before I attempt to remove it again. I do not agree stating that the Jones v Henderson fight was "Moved to UFC 152" due to the fact that it wasn't. The entire card was cancelled, which included this bout. No different than any other fight being scheduled for one card before moving to another during injury. If Jones v Henderson was actually on the UFC 152 card, I would be all for keeping this. However, at UFC 152, it will be Jones v Machida which obviously was never scheduled to take place here. Just my two cents, looking for more opinions. – Latics (talk) 02:36, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Opinions aren't relevant. If something isn't verifiable, it doesn't belong. Simple. There are reliable sources saying Jones vs Machida is booked, and none saying Henderson vs Jones is. InedibleHulk (talk) 03:02, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
