Hughes/Gracie
[edit]That bout really shouldn't be added yet. In the new ref that has just been added ([[1]]) it even says "However, MMAjunkie.com could not immediately confirm that the Hughes vs. Gracie matchup is close to finalized." Until it's finalized it shouldn't be added. (pinchet (talk) 16:21, 12 November 2009 (UTC))
I wholeheartedly agree. Sadly, I keep having to remove it. The other bouts are confirmed by outside sources. These same outside sources are only saying that this is rumoured. Once Gracie signs a deal with UFC, then it will be suggested that this is signed. Until then, it's going to continue to be deleted considering that wikipedia is no place for rumours. Paralympiakos (talk) 16:32, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Yes, this is correct. However, I just noticed that there is no source that confirms Matt Hughes to be fighting on this card (only rumours/targeted to return in early 2010) so I have removed him until a source can confirm his participation.(Justinsane15 (talk))
[[2]] "Renzo: ‘What do they think I’m made of?’ Gracie denies Hughes fight is in February, but confirms return is near." I think this settles it. (pinchet (talk) 03:53, 13 November 2009 (UTC))
Fair enough. I'm happy with Hughes being removed. Should hopefully stop the rumours for a while. Paralympiakos (talk) 06:12, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit]The picture should be taken away because the Nogueira/Vera fight has been taken off the card. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trunks8719 (talk • contribs) 19:55, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Nogueira Injured
[edit]{{editsemiprotected}}
the UFC 109 page says Rogerio Noguiera is out with staph infection. This is not the case. He is out because of an ankle injury. No staph infection El Wendigo (talk) 17:32, 10 February 2010 (UTC)
Not done: Welcome and thanks for wanting to improve the accuracy of that article. Could you provide a reliable source for your information? Thanks, Celestra (talk) 19:57, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
- In the source article for that line there is no mention of staph, but it can't even confirm that his ankle was injured. "Nogueira, the brother of former UFC interim heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, suffered a fractured ankle, said both sources. Nogueira’s manager, Ed Soares, could not be initially reached to confirm the injury." We should probably just say he was injured and leave it at that. No mention of what type of injury. Here are several articles concerning little nog's ankle injury. It is apparently well documented and therefore should be listed specifically as such, an ankle injury. No sense in withholding well known information

- I was just quoting the source linked. I'll replace it with one of the ones you've linked so that the information in the article matches the source. (pinchet (talk) 18:58, 10 February 2010 (UTC))
