False Trivia item
[edit]The USC Trojan Marching Band performed in both the LA Coliseum and the Rose Bowl on Septemeber 23, 2000. After the USC vs. SDSU football game at the Coliseum, the entire band boarded buses for the Rose Bowl to play for the premiere of Disney's Remember the Titans.
Item should be removed from trivia, as it is false.

Regarding the Sudler Award
[edit]There needs to be a third party reference. en.wikipedia is not a reliable source (see WP:RS). --Rocksanddirt 20:42, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Uniforms
[edit]- The band has new unforms, lighter blue color at the Sept. 20 football game. Ucla90024 (talk) 17:59, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

1111172534 copy violation
[edit]Need to open https://uclaband.com/history/detailed-history/chapter-09/ to identify copied text. Automated comparison tools don't work as UCLA page delivers text via javascript. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 20:33, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
Marching Style
[edit]Responding to a premature edit: Although joining the Big Ten, the UCLA band does not currently march in a Big Ten pregame style with a chair step. Historically the band has done a chair step in the 1950s and 1960s, as can be seen in old films, and arguably as well as contemporary Big Ten bands. It will likely be a topic of debate since there is a certain amount of tradition and convention for pre-game shows. It is entirely up to the organization what goes in their shows.
