Changed Article Importance Rating to "High", Given Possible Role in Preventing Alzheimers Disease

[edit]

The emphasis is on the word "possible" here, although the recent study findings are being covered in the national media and also science sources. This is nevertheless enough to give the article a high importance status.

Lots of things have been claimed to be a possible preventative for Alzheimers Disease, the vast majority of which will never pan out. Therefore I am returning this article to low importance. Boghog (talk) 20:26, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Any Credible Sources That Discuss Diets that Might Boost UBQLN1 Brain Levels?

[edit]

Please no fluff science, only evidence-based research, please. But if anyone knows of a diet that has been reliably shown to increase UBQLN1 brain levels (that is backed up by credible scientific sources), that might be a useful section in the article.

UBQLN1 is a protein that is synthesized by the body. It is very unlikely that a change in diet would significantly change the levels of UBQLN1 that are produced. Boghog (talk) 20:26, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! :-)
