Failed "good article" nomination
[edit]This article has failed its Good article nomination. This is how the article, as of November 13, 2020, compares against the six good article criteria:
- 1. Well written?: The current Route description is quite boring and relies too heavily on the "X distance to junction with Y highway" formula. Few mentions of cities or landmarks on the way, which is the bare minimum for writing an engaging section.
- 2. Verifiable?: The route junction list is tagged as missing mileposts, so that needs to be checked.
- 3. Broad in coverage?: The history section is very short for a highway as old and long as this. The second paragraph lacks a timeframe and the section seems to skip events from 1926 to 1993, which should include quite a few events.
- 4. Neutral point of view?: Pass
- 5. Stable?: Pass
- 6. Images?: Only two images, both fairly standard but not remarkable.
I would not recommend re-nominating this article until there is massive expansion and cleanup to get it up to the standards laid out by the U.S. Roads WikiProject. It would be wise to consult with more experienced roads editors and improving the article yourself before nominating.
When these issues are addressed, the article can be renominated. If you feel that this review is in error, feel free to have it reassessed. Thank you for your work so far.— SounderBruce 07:11, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
