Carlito?

[edit]

I don't see how Carlito has been much of a tweener at any point in his career. Jman5 04:43, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Carlito generally fights heels, although he uses heel tactics to win matches. Also, his recent match with Matt Striker and his subsequent attack on Eugene could be used as the very definition of tweener behavior.--Ddsilver 19:34, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Road Warriors?

[edit]

What about the Road Warriors back in the mid-80's when they first went to the NWA? They were still bad guys, but crowds loved them...

There would still be considered heels, regardless of how the crowd cheered them. Jman5 05:47, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

tweeners are an older concept

[edit]

I think there were many cases of "tweeners" occuring in pro-wrestling before the 1990's. In 1980 on several episodes of Georgia Championship Wrestling, Kevin Sullivan, a tradional face at the time, enlisted the help of former foe Austin Idol to help him in his battle with the Fabulous Freebirds. Autin's character was still brash, arrogant and, rude, but the fans cheered for him because his character was fighting agaisnt the Freebirds, hated heels at the time.

I would also make the case for wrestlers like Johnny Valentine, Dick the Bruiser, the Crusher, Mad Dog Vachon as being "tweeners" before the term was ever used.

This line is terrible

[edit]

"There are occasions where they work together better with faces rather than heels in tag team situations and give meaning to the saying, "CLEAN HOUSE.""

I mean seriously.

Wolfpac?

[edit]

When this article (not to mention other articles) refer to the Wolfpac, are they referring to the group of Hall, Nash, and Syxx within the nWo or to the red and black as a separate entity? And if it refers to them as a separate group, which era are they talking about (ie. pre- or post-Fingerpoke of Doom). I'm asking because I don't remember the red and black (during the time before the Fingerpoke of Doom) doing many heelish things, other than one night when DDP finally turned them down and Nash interferred in a match and powerbombed DDP. Other than that, I remember them being straight-forward, cool faces. TheUnknown285 17:56, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

[edit]

Not something that deserves it's own article. Reads like fan-cruft.--EndlessDan 21:44, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
