Valve Acquisition

With the recent acquisition of TRS by Valve, will Turtle Rock continue to use "Turtle Rock Studios" or will they be known as Valve Software? --78.16.68.223 (talk) 23:17, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Where are they located? Thanks. --207.172.69.74 (talk) 03:01, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Here is a news release on the issue - http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=news&id=1401&

Leading Content and Technology Company Adds California Studio

So they are in California. --193.1.96.36 (talk) 09:40, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

In a recent E3 interview, Mike booth referred to it as 'Valve South', but that might just have been for the convenience of the interviewer who might not know/care about the studio's status. 216.162.76.108 (talk) 02:19, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
A lot of Valve (Well at least the ones I've talked too) refer former TRS as Valve South, so guess the name is going to stick eh? --FrostedBitesCereal (talk) 12:59, 22 July 2008 (UTC) EDIT: Mike refers to the studio as Valve South too. Well guess that means they're valve south lol --FrostedBitesCereal (talk) 23:05, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
I have updated this article to reflect TRS's acquisition by Valve Software. Turtle Rock has been merged into Valve completely, there is no longer any mention of Turtle Rock Studios on the Left 4 Dead games official website and instead Valve Software has replaced the copyright notices and credits, nor is there a Turtle Rock Studios website anymore. The old website now re-directs to the Valve software home page.--78.16.157.99 (talk) 01:01, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Valve Task Force Re-vitalization

Attention, all contributors to the Valve Task Force and the articles it constitutes!
I am here to announce that I will be re-vitalizing the Valve Task Force, aimed at universally improving articles constituting Valve Corporation, their employees, associates and products. This specific task force has been dormant for quite some time and with two very notable releases coming out this year, I feel like this is the appropriate time to re-stimulate the general aim of this group. For those who are not already members of the Valve Task Force, feel free to add your name to our members list and contribute to whatever articles you feel your contributions may prove beneficial for. Valve, its products and notable employees have proven to be essential to the progression of the video game industry, so I'd like to make a call of arms for this cause.
