[edit]Does anyone know when this bridge is expected to be refurbished? It needs it in a big way. Denimadept 03:14, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Bridge name
[edit]The bridge is labeled with a plaque that says "Turners Falls - Gill Bridge". The area in which the bridge is located it Turner's Falls / Gill. I'm going to revert the article. See the right-most image in the Image Gallery. I'm aware that Turner's Falls is a subsection of Montague. That doesn't change the situation or the name. It's still in Turner's Falls. - I've re-thought this. If everyone is referring to it as the Gill-Montague Bridge, then the article makes more sense with that name. I've renamed it. Denimadept 19:21, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
- I live in Turners Falls and am currently working at the weekly newspaper here in town, the Montague Reporter. We have been convinced that it's the Turners Falls-Gill Bridge and are trying to hold to that usage from now on. "Gill-Montague" is sometimes used locally because that's also the name of the unified school district, but it does not seem to be correct. Just an FYI. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.60.140.50 (talk) 23:53, 11 October 2013 (UTC)

Image not displaying
[edit]The image specified in the bridge infobox, [1], is not displaying for some reason. Does anyone have an idea what's wrong? Could it be the space right after "IMG"? When I just tried including it here using Image, it didn't work either. - Denimadept (talk) 17:12, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
Notes
[edit]Some information can be found in the incorporation act for the "Turner's Falls Bridge Company" in 1870, which established the crossing as a toll bridge. --Polaron | Talk 21:29, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
