I beleve that a meaningful discussion on the eminent Al Tuqan family would not be complete without a mention of their rivalry in relation to the shaiekhdom of Bani Sa'b with the Al Jayousi family. much has been written about their constant struggles and the invasions of the throne village of KUR and so on...
Long Live Palestine and great Arab clans, like that of AL Tuqan and AL Jayousi —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.73.143.136 (talk) 20:45, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Should Ahmad Toukan be mentioned here? Presumably related? Cheers, Huldra (talk) 06:33, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Touqans of Jordan
[edit]Just to clarify, this article is about the Touqan family of Nablus, NOT the Touqan family of as-Salt, Jordan. I have removed Alia al-Hussein from the list because she is from the latter. If anyone is interested, they could start the article Touqan (Jordan) and we could then rename this article Touqan (Nablus). --Al Ameer son (talk) 16:52, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
If you are aware of the Muslih version of the history then please state that on the article, describe both, not just the doumani version and describe the distinction between the touqan's of nablus and salt. if you are trying to give an accurate account of the history, then on the wiki you should state the second version. the second version is the one that is well known in my family. i have asked for a scanned copy of the tree which verifies Muslih's version of the our history. i will hopefully get it soon —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.22.162.1 (talk) 08:06, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
- I will state Muslih's version first and hopefully could find more information about this version. I will keep Doumani's version in the article, however, until I find more information. If you could provide a copy of the family tree that would be very helpful. Thank you for your response, and if you need any help with anything just let me know. BTW, if you have any sources about your family that we could use, that would also be quite helpful. Salam, --Al Ameer son (talk) 16:39, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
