Contested deletion[edit]

"This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because..."

I replaced the original disambiguation page because many writers (like Forsyth who wrote the best history of Siberia) continue to use Tungus in its older sense. "Tungusic peoples" is not quite right because it includes the Manchus. Tungus seems to me to have a clear and definite meaning. The present article is not very pretty. If the old version is restored it should indicate the older meaning of the word. Benjamin Trovato (talk) 09:18, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
