Question....
[edit]The article states Eskew served SC Governor Carroll Campbell as press secretary for 8 years before leaving to work with the Reagan/Bush '84 team. Since Campbell was first elected governor of SC in 1986, how can this be??

Suggesting some improvements
[edit]Hi, I'm hoping to find some editors that can help me make some improvements to this article. I'm not looking to make significant changes, but there are some missing details and also a few areas that could be worded better. Before I propose my changes, I'd like to let other editors know that I've prepared these edits on behalf of Tucker Eskew's consultancy, Vianovo. Because of this, I won't be making any direct changes to the article. I'm asking that editors review what I have prepared and assist in making the updates to the article if they approve of the changes.
I'd like to start out by suggesting two short additions to the article to fill out the basic chronology of Eskew's career. The first is an all new section called 2004 George W. Bush Presidential campaign that covers Eskew's involvement in that campaign. Eskew supported Bush as a supersurrogate and also worked on the campaign's communications.
Following his work on that campaign, Eskew founded Eskew Strategy Group and Vianovo. The introduction mentions this, but the information isn't covered further in any other section. I've drafted another all new section to follow the 2004 George W. Bush Presidential campaign section called Vianovo, so that there are a few more details about these endeavors.
The sections I've drafted are below for editors to review, followed by the markup:
Eskew continued to support President Bush as a supersurrogate, or advisor, planning media strategy during the 2004 election.[1] He oversaw campaign communications efforts in battleground states and contributed to the Republican Party platform.[2]
In 2003, Eskew resigned from his position in the Bush administration[3] to launch Eskew Strategy Group[4] alongside his wife, Lisa Lackovic Eskew.[4]
In 2005, Eskew merged Eskew Strategy Group into political consultancy Vianovo, which he co-founded alongside Matthew Dowd, Blaine Bull and James S. Taylor.[5]References

I'm working on some additional material to post later on, but I thought I'd start with these two updates. To any editors watching this page, thanks for taking the time to look at this and please let me know if you have feedback. Since this Talk page seems relatively quiet, I'll also be reaching out on a few wikiprojects and pointing them here. Thanks! 16912 Rhiannon (Talk · COI) 20:59, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
- I think it's fine to post this, the information is not disputed and not advocacy. Thanks for being honest about paid editing. Hekerui (talk) 13:49, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
- Looks ok to me, so I went and added it. Wizardman 02:35, 15 November 2014 (UTC)
- Please look after you add text to see whether the format is broken. Hekerui (talk) 23:32, 15 November 2014 (UTC)
- Wizardman and Hekerui, thank you both so much for your help, it is much appreciated. I have a few more suggestions to help bring this article up-to-date and iprove its content. I hope you both might be able to assist with those too. For now, thanks again, 16912 Rhiannon (Talk · COI) 19:39, 17 November 2014 (UTC)

Another round of suggestions
[edit]As promised, I've returned with some new material to improve this article. The suggested changes I've prepared are throughout the article and frequently include small line edits, so I've uploaded a new draft to my userspace so other editors may easily review the differences. That revised article can be found here and there's a diff here showing the edits compared with the current live article.
Editors will see that I kept all of the information currently in the article, but I did expand many of the sections and rewrote some of the existing details, particularly if it was quoted from the source.
Among the main edits I'm proposing:
- Added an infobox
- Expanded and updated the introduction
- Added more details on Eskew's early career to the Background section
- Added and clarified details in the 2000 George W. Bush campaign section
- Added and clarified details in the George W. Bush administration section
- Created a new Other roles section to house appearances and volunteer projects Eskew has been involved with. For example, the mention of Lee Atwater from the Background section has been moved into here
I think all of the changes should be straightforward, but please let me know if there are any questions. Thanks in advance for looking! 16912 Rhiannon (Talk · COI) 20:32, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
- I'll take a look; I don't imagine there will be any issues though. Wizardman 23:44, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks so much, Wizardman! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Also, feel free to make small edits directly in the draft. If you have larger edits, it would be great if we could talk about those. 16912 Rhiannon (Talk · COI) 17:30, 5 December 2014 (UTC)
- Finally found time to look it over, and it seems fine, so I added it to the article. Wizardman 03:44, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
- Brilliant, thanks Wizardman! Really appreciate your time looking at this, and if there's ever anything I can help you with, just let me know. Thanks again, 16912 Rhiannon (Talk · COI) 13:36, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
