Citation for Tua Pek Kong's origin?

The Tua Pek Kong temple on Main Bazaar, Kuching, Malaysia distributes a leaflet that identifies Tua Pek Kong as an earth god, it doesn't identify him as a deified person.

This article links to two articles in (I assume) Mandarin, which I can't review. Some published source for the claim that Tua Pek Kong was a real person would improve the article. Timbomb 21:57, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
