Missile Launcher.
[edit]"The Terrier system was later replaced with a Mk 26 Guided Missile Launching System utilizing Standard missiles". That is incorrect. Changed out missiles from Terrier to Standard ER. The Missile launcher remained Mk 10 Mod7 Guided Missile Launching System- supporting Standard ER and ASROC missles. The Mk26 Guided Missile Launching System handled either Tarter or Standard MR. The referenced external link support my statement. Wfoj2 (talk) —Preceding comment was added at 01:12, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Please correct the entry by removing all references to a Mk 26 launcher aboard Truxton. There is no citation supplied to suggest this was ever done, photographic evidence clearly shows a Mk 10 until late in her career, and quite frankly, anyone with an understanding of the two systems knows that there is insufficient hull volume below the launcher position to fit a Mk26 launcher, unlike the horizontally fed Mk10 a Mk26 is vertically fed. All credible references are silent on a Mk26 for the Truxton. Representativesample (talk) 21:37, 11 January 2010 (UTC)
