'troon' as a pejorative

[edit]

It's mainly used within KiwiFarms and on 4chan's /pol/ board: originating from SomethingAwful when lowtax suddenly came out. Its usage is pretty well known enough at this point however to the point it's became a generic pejorative associated mainly with those on the more right-wing side who are supportive of Blanchard's transsexualism typology.

Note that it almost exclusively refers to nonpassing transgender women, and those with an Internet presence in communities typically affiliated with 'loner'/'nerd' men (mainly anime) who may have been pressured into becoming transgender due to fetishism/feeling like a 'failure of a man for not living up to stereotypes' or whatever. 2A00:23C6:E782:EA01:B165:D0A1:8D55:CE1D (talk) 21:50, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This violates WP:DABRELATED Include articles only if the term being disambiguated is actually described in the target article. For example, a use of the term set is discussed in the article on volleyball, so Set (disambiguation) legitimately includes an entry for "Set, a team's second contact with the ball in volleyball". If Troon is mentioned on the Transgender page, then you can link to Transgender from the DAB page.

Also note that "Wikipedia is not a dictionary, phrasebook, or a slang, jargon, or usage guide". See WP:NOTDICT. Kaltenmeyer (talk) 20:39, 7 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I request an edit protection or something, because someone keeps adding this "urban dictionary" tier word to the list. I don't know why they are obsessed with adding an obscure word that no one outside of internet addicted sub-forums, with very little relevance, use.
This is not Urban Dictionary. We don't need to add supposed slurs that are only known by a couple thousand people. 204.107.221.1 (talk) 14:29, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
