Track list

[edit]

Any sources on the track list of the soundtrack? The track list might need to be removed until actual sources are provided. ♫ Douglasr007 (talk) 21:02, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It appears to have been taken from the iTunes listing. Presumably news sources are citing that listing. jhsounds (talk) 22:08, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Are the following songs actually part of a Tron Legacy bonus disc not listed in the main article? Or are they songs by some other artist impersonating Daft Punk all over Youtube and Bittorrent? Either way they are solid tracks and consistent with the style.

"The Crash" 10:57
"Tron Legacy Theme" 6:31
"Fragile ft Louis La Roche" 2:01
"Prestige ft Busy P" 5:49
"Synopsis" 4:33

None of the tracks listed above are part of any official release of the album. jhsounds (talk) 21:47, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Classical music

[edit]

This sounds odd but I wonder if any source out there did a comparison to Thomas Bangalter's Irreversible OST to this one as far as direction to classical music goes. Bangalter did add two classical songs to the Irreversible OST and I wonder if he picked it or it was Gaspar Noe's choice. Just something to note for now. ♫ Douglasr007 (talk) 16:06, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"It is the first film score released by Daft Punk."

[edit]

Hmm... what about Interstella 5555? Since the Discovery album was concieved as a score to the (then not yet produced) film, is that a score to a film or a film to an album? -- megA (talk) 16:59, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Daft Punk said that the Discovery album was made "in a cinematic way in [their] minds", but not necessarily as a deliberate score for a film. Interstella 5555 is therefore seen as a complement to the album, rather than a film with an original score. The line "It is the first film score released by Daft Punk" is still accurate, but a mention of the duo's previous audio-visual work would be appropriate for the "Background" section. jhsounds (talk) 17:08, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks - I thought so but wanted to get it clear. It's interesting that TRON as well is said to have been "cut to the music", which makes it a similar process to Interstella... -- megA (talk) 11:53, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Retro game samples

[edit]

I'm probably just being a massive nerd, but I'm pretty sure track 12, "End of Line", samples sound effects from the old Apogee game "Cosmo's Cosmic Quest". Can anyone confirm? Cain the Mad (talk) 18:48, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

'Tron: Legacy Reconfigured'

[edit]

Would it be say to safe that the remix album to this will be a new article? I would suppose enough info has to be available for the remix album for a new article to be made. ♫ Douglasr007 (talk) 21:38, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Use in other films/shows

[edit]

I have noticed that songs from this soundtrack have appeared in many trailers and episodes of top gear (eg. S17E01). Wondering if anyone knows why this is happening? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.52.247.144 (talk) 02:19, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
