Although triphenylamine is, based upon the priodic table group the central element belongs, related to triphenylstibine and on that basis a common structure might be expected, the statement about the molecular form is evidently wrong. Triphenylamine in essence is a, although slightly twisted around the C-N-bonds, flat molecule with extensive conjugation of the nitrogen lone pair with each of the phenylrings as is clear from the pKa-values of the series phenylamines.
