Sexual battery accusations

[edit]

Apparently the accusations of sexual battery by Gray have been controversial in this article. Since he was the founder and long-time leader of Trinity Baptist, and the battery was alleged to have occurred in his office there, it is clearly relevant to this article. OTOH, there have unfortunately been countless similar incidents at both religious and secular schools and colleges around the world. I suggest we keep the coverage of the matter reasonably short and, where possible, focused on the connection to Trinity Baptist. Let's stick to using mainstream news sources.   Will Beback  talk  23:31, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the information about the accusations against Robert Gray, "a former pastor of the college's founding church", based on WP:UNDUE. The allegations are too far removed from the school itself to be relevant, and the retention of such controversial material, in which no actual indictment ever occurred, serves no point. Tag

[edit]

Despite the tag on my last three edits, all I did was rescue the articles on Robert Gray using the Wayback Machine. The articles were already cited for this article. No vandalism or BLP issues here. 108.12.188.101 (talk) 04:37, 22 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The tag appears to have to do with my fixing the citations.108.12.188.101 (talk) 01:45, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Page protection needed

[edit]

For about two years now people have been attempting to wipe this article of any mention of the well-sourced and notable Bob Gray scandal at the college, even though, as Will Beback states above, it is reasonably short and utilizes mainstream news sources. Several persistent IP editors have been removing the sourced material from this page, and it is clear that they aren't editing in good faith and won't be deterred by mere warnings. Blocks to those vandals and a protected page would do well for this article.74.106.243.248 (talk) 23:42, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
