[edit]It's a real pity there are so many non-RS and primary sources cited, that I almost declined this at first. (Doesn't help that almost 30 sources are refbombed onto this, and some are behind paywalls, making it more difficult to check them.) However, there is enough there to pass WP:GNG / WP:ORGCRIT, so I am accepting this. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:21, 6 May 2023 (UTC)

In order to remove the warning box, here is the list of edits that I hope will make the text more neutral and improve the sources. Please note that I’ve listed the edits (replacements/deletions) in the references in a way that should avoid numbering confusions.

And replace ref #15 with this source: https://njbiz.com/wakefern-works-toward-frictionless-future-for-its-supermarkets

Add this sentence at the bottom of the history section: “In May 2023 Trigo partnered with Auchan to open a cashless grocery store at its headquarters in Villeneuve d'Ascq, France”. (The ref will be added later, so the order of the refs will not be mixed)

Erase the following sentences, but leave refs 24, 25 and 26: “Shortly after, shoppers receive a receipt with all the items they took from the store. Its retail clients use their own branded app for shoppers to use the technology and enter and/or exit the store.” “Beginning in 2022, Trigo announced it will begin to roll out additional products as part of its 'StoreOS' group of solutions, such as inventory management, planogram compliance, and event-driven marketing.”

- @Adig-pt It's unusual deleting sentences but not references. With your edit request, should the assumption be that all of the sentences that are to be removed were unreferenced? References should not remain in the article if they serve no other purpose. Please advise. Regards, Spintendo 13:01, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the question.
- Please note that the references of the deleted sentences will indeed be omitted (see the section titled "References" at the end of the edit request). I have listed it this way in order to avoid confusion in the numbering of the references. Adig-pt (talk) 11:20, 27 July 2023 (UTC)

[edit] Unable to review
Your edit request could not be reviewed because the request is not formatted correctly.
- The citation style predominantly used by the Trigo article appears to be Citation Style 1. The citation style used in the edit request consists of bare URL's.[a] Any requested edit of yours which may be implemented will need to resemble the current style already in use in the article – in this case, CS1. (See WP:CITEVAR.)
- Citation ref tags have not been placed within the requested text indicating which portions of the text the source is referencing. (See WP:INTEGRITY.)
In the collapsed section below titled Request edit examples, I have illustrated two: The first shows how the edit request was submitted; the second shows how requests should be submitted in the future.
Request edit examples
|
---|
In the example above there are three URL's provided with the claim statements, but these URL's have not been placed using Citation Style 1, which is the style predominantly used by the Trigo article. Additionally, ref tags have not been placed within the text at the exact positions where the information they reference resides. Using the correct style and the correct positioning of the ref tags, the WikiFormatted text should resemble the following:
In the example above the references have been formatted according to Citation Style 1, which shows the author, the source's name, date, etc. Also, the ref tags are placed in the exact location where the text which they reference resides. As Wikipedia is a volunteer project, edit requests such yours are generally expected to have this formatting done before the request is submitted for review. |
- Kindly write a new edit request which aligns more with the second example shown in the collapsed section above.
- Text from the article which is to be removed should also be formatted in the same way, but this will be easier to complete, as that text is already correctly formatted for the article. You need only copy and paste the text from the article's edit page into your new request. That way, the text and references to be deleted can both be more easily found and removed from the article.
- In addition to the formatting changes requested here, in the text that is proposed to be added to the article, please ensure that any other companies mentioned contain Wikilinks to those company's Wikipedia pages.
- Feel free to submit the new edit request at your earliest convenience. If you have any questions about this formatting please don't hesitate to ask myself or another editor. Regards, Spintendo 08:31, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
Notes
- ^ The use of bare URLs as references is a style which is acceptable for use in Wikipedia. However, general practice dictates that the style already in use for an article be the one that is subsequently used for all future additions unless changed by editorial consensus.
