Name: pseudohalide of sulfonic acid

[edit]

Shouldn't the IUPAC name be the title name: Trifluoromethanesulfonyl azide? This is the pseudohalide of trifluoromethanesulfonic acid --kupirijo (talk) 01:30, 14 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Preparation: trifluoromethanesulfonic anhydride

[edit]

trifluoromethanesulfonic anhydride is no longer expensive, see: https://www.tcichemicals.com/US/en/p/T1100. Currently in my work it is a useful component to azide an amine moiety, saving a lot of resources instead of buying the azided compound of interest. Feel free to contact me, i just didn't know how to edit the text and i wasn't quite sure what to put instead. Time to finish a deadline of mine. Kittyvlekkie (talk) 19:23, 12 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
