The City of Petersburg is experiencing a wonderful regrowth in the downtown area. A major surge in remodeling and renonvating old, abadoned buildings has meant the birth of a new life in the area. A hip, trendy, crowd are making their way to downtown led by an ever-increasing number of hip, trendy restaurants.
It's amazing to see the beauty of the architecture shine once again in an area that had lost so much of its historical grandeur. Beautiful homes are also being restored and bought up all over the downtown area.
If you have not checked it out lately, it's worth a drive down to have a sandwich at Longstreet's or sushi at Wabi-Sabi. With an emerging entertainment area you might want to stay on into the evening at a place like Sycamore Rouge. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.105.56.171 (talk • contribs)
- hmm... how do I say this kindly... I appreciate the above writer's enthusiasm for Petersburg but I am not sure that the above blurb is really a constructive attempt to inform editors about how to better edit the article. In the spirit of Wikipedia:don't bite the newcomers I am going to treat the above post as if it is a request for more content on the "revitalization of Petersburg" and not an attempt to self-advertise. I will consider the request and try to add some of this content without the superlatives. MPS 03:05, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
