[edit]NPOV?
Since no-one's taken the pains to discuss on the talk page why this article isn't neutral - thereby giving us no clue as to WHO disputes its neutrality - I've taken the neutrality banner down. Please feel free to undo this if it was a bad decision. I just can't stand neutrality notices lying around willy nilly, bringing well-written articles into disrepute.

And why cant i edit his middle name lol only kidding
Rape
[edit]Why is there nothing here about the rape charge and his subsequent disappearance from 6 Music 'for legal reasons'? Something was mentioned in the article at one point, but got pulled without comment by an unregistered user.[1] 85.210.172.4 02:42, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
Rape Allegations
[edit]In September 2006, Lock was arrested by Lothian and Borders Police for an alleged sexual assault of a 20 year old student at Russell Brand's flat on the 28th of August, during the Edinburgh Festival. Lock denies all charges, stating that the woman gave her consent and that they "had a very nice night together". The case is currently being reviewed by the procurator fiscal, the Scottish public prosecutor. [1]
- Yeah, this really needs to be on there, don't know why it was removed. This paragraph is also a lot clearer than what was there before, and I've added it to the article. ArtVandelay13 15:49, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
Based on the handling of a similar case at Craig Charles, I have added a mention of the charges and subsequent dropping. Dubbinu | t | c 14:41, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
Where is he?
[edit]Whats happened to Trevor Lock? He briefly reappeared on Radio 6 with Russel following the rape allegations but has now disappeared. His website has not been updated since november —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jeskec (talk • contribs) 15:21, 1 May 2007 (UTC).
- The short answer is - we don't know. It doesn't take this long to put together a radio show, and there is nothing about it anywhere on the BBC site. He is perhaps waiting for a slot to become available or might be pursuing a comedy project. Is he still doing stand-up? It would be really handy if someone were to come along with a scrap of info.. -cough- Andrewjd 23:38, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
He's still very much out and about doing gigs as far as I know (do a quick search on www.chortle.co.uk) and does a lot of live work with Paul Foot. As far as the rape allegations go it was last year and no criminal case has materialised so although the public prosecutor has made no offical statement I guess it is history and there was insuffiencent evidence to prosecute or the woman was not prepared to go to court or both or whatever. No one really knows except the parties concerned and the authorities.

Knock me down with a feather
[edit]Trevor Lock was also the name of the policeman who was awarded a George Medal for his actions during the Iranian Embassy Siege of 1980. [2] That might cause some problems when PC Lock dies, and his obituary appears in the broadsheets, at which point there will probably be a Wikipedia article about him. -Ashley Pomeroy 22:21, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Repeated deletion of rape allegation section
[edit]User 86.128.125.4 has twice deleted the section "Rape allegation" without explanation. This section is a notable and well-documented episode in Lock's life, and is backed up by suitable sources. A similar section (a dismissed rape allegation) is in place at Craig Charles. I would appreciate others' thoughts on whether the section should persist, and whether this article should be semi-protected to prevent its repeated deletion. - Weak delete. I believe that it should be deleted since the charges were dismissed, but it's a weak opinion. There are some cases where a trial is a major part of a person's life, like O.J. Simpson, but this seems unnecessary. Andrew327 16:00, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
