Hello. An editor deleted his nickname. Citing MOS:BADNICK. Looking that up, it says: "Alternative names that are sourceable but not generally known to the public (e.g., a childhood nickname, a hypocorism only used in private life, or a term of spousal endearment revealed in an in-depth biographical book) are not encyclopedic,,, Examples: A sports journalist's one-off reference to a player as "the Atlanta panther" in purple prose does not constitute a nickname, and treating it as one is original research." But this does not fit in to that category. It is on the front page of his MLB.com bio.
