Thanks for creating this page

[edit]

I created a stub for this page on August 11, only to have it speedily deleted by some Wikipedia editor. Glad someone else has added it! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnkoetsier (talkcontribs) 16:40, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Suggest change of wording

[edit]

"Details about the program emerged as emails from intelligence company Stratfor had been hacked at the end of 2011". That gives the impression that this was some secret operation that the Strafor emails outed. That isn't true though: the Trapwire website was running in early 2011 (before the stratfor emails were published) and on that website are details of the system, and as the second reference in this Wikipedia article points out "Trapwire: Preventing Terrorism" in Crime & Justice International was published in 2006, and that also gives details of how the system works. In addition, the company filed a patent with 7 pages of very detailed information under the title Trapwire: Pre-Attack Terrorist Detection System For Protecting Critical infrastructure. The patent has lots of very detailed information, including diagrams. Thoughts anyone? DrownedThursday (talk) 14:38, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Stochastic Terrorism

[edit]

Stochastic Terrorism is a lousy title, but relates to a open-source study with the same objectives as TrapWire, without the trap. Editors who started and contribute to this article may be interested in starting a terrorism-related article on, say Terrorism methodology. --Pawyilee (talk) 15:33, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Article re-write or deletion

[edit]

The article makes no sense; I removed a one liner from it today that had no bearing on anything. It really isn't necessary to make wikipedia articles based on current events unless they are going to be properly written and on topic. Woods01 (talk) 12:56, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It should either be removed or replaced with a working link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.136.62.67 (talk) 20:26, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
