Article created
Well, there it goes. I tried to create an article from what we had put together about the third film. I think it turned out quite well. Just for the record, the infobox contains some info that, while not officially confirmed, are pretty much safe guesses, such as the production team, the music composers, and some of the voices. Well, let's keep it going. --uKER (talk) 04:01, 8 March 2010 (UTC)
- But my friend, Wiki is supposed to be a verifiable encylopedia - lots of this cannot be and I think should be removed —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.0.4.33 (talk) 19:07, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
Speculation free zone
I removed a bunch of speculation today. Let's keep it trim. Mathewignash (talk) 21:31, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
What about this news item in the annals of this movie? I mean it kind of blew up everywhere and Bay has been known to engage in these tactics.

Too early
WP:NFF says to create a film article when it is verified to have started filming. Surely we can wait till May to create this bad boy. Erik (talk) 21:36, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
- I think it should be removed - this is full of speculation and will continue to be until May —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.0.4.33 (talk) 19:08, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
- I've removed the prod tag from the article. Because the article has been discussed at WP:AfD, it is no longer eligible for WP:PROD. Calathan (talk) 21:39, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
Article restored
I just put the article back into shape. Please let's stay away from fancy bulleted character lists or tables. There's no point in creating separate sections for characters yet, when in fact there's almost NONE confirmed yet. Turning the article into this is what got it deleted in the first place. All the flashy lists with made up information citing sources that don't back them, missing sources in the prose, you even dropped the information about Tony Todd's return. And a section called "Source updates"? What's this? A blog? BTW, the revision I cited is the last one before the article got deleted, and it happens to be from Mathewignash but I'm not pointing fingers at anyone. So please, let's keep this a no-nonsense article. All mandatory sections will be created IN TIME as they become necessary. --uKER (talk) 00:29, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
- Funny considering the last edit I made was removing half the cast list, it was enormous. It was this before me. [1] Some people keep adding voice actors to this and the Transformers: War for Cybertron video game. Mathewignash (talk) 00:35, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
- I explicitly said I wasn't putting the blame on you. Let that be clear. I just cited the last state of the article before it was deleted, since I didn't take the time to go all the way through its ravaging by the fanboys. --uKER (talk) 00:37, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
- OMG, I just saw that. "Other possible..."? OK, now I've seen it all. In any case, I just requested semiprotection. Let's hope it doesn't take too long. --uKER (talk) 00:40, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
- Don't worry about it UKER, I understood what you said, I just found it funny. Almost as funny as Bruce Willis as Treadshot! Mathewignash (talk) 00:43, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

Does anyone have any idea where it came from? It calls my attention that it names the movie with roman numerals and not latin ones. --uKER (talk) 01:44, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, I got to from a online Hasbro shareholders meeting. They broadcast a voice and slideshow to their shareholders about their plans for 2010, and this was one of the slides, so I screen grabbed it. Mathewignash (talk) 19:17, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
Music
I'm sure Steve Jablonsky will return to do the musical score, but has it even been confirmed that Linkin Park will record a new song for this film? - Areaseven (talk) 08:30, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, Linkin Park have been officially confirmed to record a new song for the movie, MB was going to look for some other band for the movie (can't remember who though) but it was on his facebook page that he decided & announced that Linkin Park are officially back. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.30.4.19 (talk) 12:35, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

CSD deletion proposal
The article was deleted months ago on grounds of it being still too early for it to be notable, and the article being pretty much out of shape. The current nominator didn't provide any reason whatsoever for deleting it this time. The article was recreated with supervision of the person who had deleted it, its content is perfectly fine and the film enters main photography this month, so it's playing by the guidelines. Also, it's worthy of notice that the nominator (who has a history dealing with deletion and restoration of information) keeps repeatedly changing the release date to an incorrect one, which is one year after than the correct one, and unjustifiedly removing other information from the infobox. --uKER (talk) 18:34, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
- Like UKER said, filming is scheduled to begin this month. This is a big difference compared to last November. Common sense should be applied here; if there is some issue that gets in the way of production, then we could talk about re-merging. Erik (talk) 18:49, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

Patrick Dempsey's role
I'd say we should be on the lookout for Patrick Dempsey's situation in the film, since I don't think he'll be playing Mikaela's boss anymore. Shia's GF boss perhaps? --uKER (talk) 19:22, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Sources
A couple of weeks ago, I was told by more experienced editors than me, that all of those www.tfw2005.com links were not acceptable sources since it is a fan site (which is something mentioned in the guidelines for sources). I know that they permeate both this article and the article for the franchise. Are we unable to find better sources than this? Are some of these links considered acceptable because they link to direct interviews? Seriously, I have tried cleaning them out twice now but it's a little overwhelming. ALAN TUDYK's Role in Tranformers 3 needs a citation
I have a query about the Transformers 3 Wikipedia page it is protected so I cannot change anything on it. My name is Mira S. Sharma, a writer and founder of From Hollywood with Love. I recently interviewed Alan Tudyk about his role in Transformers 3 and he gave me the exclusive of this undisclosed information.
I noticed on http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Transformers_3 that it says "Alan Tudyk <http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Alan_Tudyk> [citation needed] <http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed> ] have also been signed on for undisclosed role"
I am happy to report that I have confirmed the role directly with the actor in a one-to-one interview at the end of July. I would like that the citation go to myself, as I broke the exclusive information: Here is where you can find it:

Move to Transformers: The Dark of the Moon?
Apparently thats the title of the film now "Transformers: The Dark of the Moon" Source: /Film KiasuKiasiMan 17:11, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
Paramount hasn't confirmed that "Dark of the Moon" is the official title yet. Is it too early to change the article if the studio hasn't made it official? I think it should be changed back. Source: [3] Connor5612 10:53, 7 October 2010
- Even if there was no official statement, there are books announced with the name and domain names have been reserved. Source. There is no reason to think the information isn't real. In the event that it turned out to be fake, then we could turn it back. --uKER (talk) 03:17, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
Optimus Prime of yesterday and today
There is only one photo in the article and it may be nice for eyes to have another. I am a Transformers fan and I made this drawing for the article, it is free domain I give it. Thanks for your attention. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Facro (talk • contribs) 15:26, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
- While I appreciate the good intent, and kinda like the drawing, I don't think it's really suited for the article. Perhaps if it was a more professional one (ie, not so much artistic) perhaps it could find its way into the Optimus Prime (other incarnations) article. --uKER (talk) 17:22, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
Doubt
Hey guys, I just read the article and I think there may be a slight contradiction. In the "Development" section, it says that the film "Avatar" revived the interest in 3D technologies, but later it was revealed that Bay "does not want to go in that direction". However, when you check out the last part of the article, "Release and Marketing", it says that the film will be released in 3D. So, Bay was reluctant with 3D filming because "he's found them to be too clunky for his filming style", but still, the film will be released in 3D. So, is the film going to be released in IMAX (the same format as the previous Transformers) or in 3D? Maybe it's just me but I would appreciate if someone answers me. Thank you all. {{edit semi-protected}} The following entry appears to be in the incorrect tense:
"On October 1, 2009, Bay revealed that Transformers: Dark of the Moon had already gone into pre-production, and its planned release was back to its originally intended date of July 1, 2011 rather than 2012.[6] Filming started in May 2010, with shooting locations including Chicago, Florida, and Moscow.[7][8]Due to the revived interest in 3-D technology brought in by the success of Avatar,[9] talks between Paramount, Industrial Light & Magic and Bay have considered the possibility of the next Transformers film to be filmed in 3-D and testing is being performed in bringing the technology into Bay's work.[10] Michael Bay is reluctant to film with 3-D cameras since in test he's found them to be too clunky for his filming style, but he doesn't want to implement the technology in post production either since he is not pleased with the results.[11]"
The citation (transformers: dark of the moon#cite note-24) seems to confirm that the film is being shot in 3-D. I would like to request that the entry be edited to read:
