This page originally referenced an "Amazon Desert" in Texas. After doing some research, which involved going through Internet search engines and checking with a college library, I could not find anything on an "Amazon Desert" in Texas. Since the Trans-Pecos Desert, along with the rest of Texas' desert areas, are part of the Chihuahuan Desert, I changed the name of the parent desert in the article to the Chihuahuan Desert.

During my research, I found that there is a place in Peru called the Amazon Desert. I did not look closely into it, but I know that Peru's Amazon Desert could be the subject of a new Wikipedia article.
