Article re-write.

I've done a pretty major re-write of this article. I think it was needed to satisfy Wikiepdia's criteria for inclusion as an article. The previous version read very much as an advert and contained a lot of non-pertinent information. I've thinned it down to just the information that can be supported by references. I've also removed summaries of individual years as I don't think these events meet Wikipedia's criteria for notability as events and therefore don't yet warrant inclusion in this article.
