To anyone who thinks a book may be a war crime
[edit]No book is a war crime. Even Mein Kampf is not a war crime (go figure). War crime article has nothing about any book being war crimes.
Please stop being stupid. Thank you. --84.234.60.154 (talk) 19:58, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- As far as I can see: it's been included in the war crimes cat because the memoir includes accounts of events constituting war crimes. The publication, in itself, is not being hailed as any act of war crime. ALLOCKE|talk 21:15, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
The category "war crimes" is about war crimes.
The category "memoirs" is about memoirs.
The category "war criminals" is about war criminals. (I don't know this "Michael Keller" chap, maybe he is one.)
That's that easy. --84.234.60.154 (talk) 21:22, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Another thing is: this book is not notable (by the guy with no article, and no links lead here whatsoever). It's an ad by the guy who wanted to cash-in on the scandal or his publishers, nothing more. --84.234.60.154 (talk) 21:26, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- Categories are used to link articles containing information pertaining to relating subjects. WP:Categorization describes the function of categories as follows:
"Categories (along with other features like cross-references, lists, and infoboxes) help readers find information, even if they don't know that it exists or what it's called."
- Somebody reading up on war crimes committed in Iraq would find further interest and research from the book described in this article. With the greatest respect I'm reverting the article to include the category. As we've now reached the third revert I would suggest dispute resolution if you still disagree with me :) ALLOCKE|talk 21:38, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
- Check out http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Category:Iraq_war_crimes
- One will find out more from Human Rights Watch or Amnesty International than from sensationalist memoirs of some dude. --84.234.60.154 (talk) 21:48, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
