Fair use rationale for Image:TorontoBlizzardLogo.gif

[edit]

Image:TorontoBlizzardLogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Move?

[edit]
The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: no consensus to move page, per discussion below. A couple of comments: it would indeed seem strange to set up separate dab pages for "Toronto Blizzard" and "Toronto blizzard". Linking to other notable blizzards that have occurred in Toronto from the dab page, however, would seem to be a perfectly reasonable idea. - GTBacchus(talk) 18:31, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Toronto Blizzard (NASL)Toronto Blizzard

  • Oppose Toronto blizzard is a meteorologicial phenomenon. IT's very likely to be about the time the Mayor of Toronto called in the Army to clear the snow. 76.66.193.119 (talk) 01:56, 17 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    • I'd say its very unlikely anyone would search for a specific snowstorm that hit much of North America at Toronto Blizzard. Toronto Blizzard has a very specific primary target with no incoming links to anything else. Anyone that happens upon the page could find the snowstorm at Toronto Blizzard (disambiguation) once the moves are complete.
      • I'd say it's quite likely, since people make fun of the Toronto Blizzard when LAstman called in the Army, because (A) Toronto is a Canadian city (B) Toronto has blizzards (C) it is disgraceful to call out the army for a light dusting of snow (D) it's shameful to call out the army even with a massive snowfall (E) the rest of the country frequently makes fun of Toronto for being less prepared than Vancouver for this particular snowfall
      • In any case, the dab page should list all blizzards in Toronto that have articles. 76.66.193.119 (talk) 02:45, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Note. The blizzard would be unlikely to be a proper noun, and would be more likely to be at Toronto blizzard and these cases would able to be separate. Relisting. billinghurst sDrewth 16:41, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Making two separate dab pages seems very excessive to me, considering that Wikipedia frequently combines dab pages. 76.66.193.119 (talk) 20:09, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think its ver clear what the primary topic is, just look at the number of incoming links. Metros-Croatia was the same team and should probably be merged and the second, lesser known team was named after the original Cmjc80 (talk) 00:21, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
